Housing Navigator for Wexford and Missaukee Counties

The housing navigator will provide direct housing navigation services to individuals and families experiencing homelessness in shelter, who are chronically homeless, or have been identified as Housing First acuity through the VI-SPDAT  throughout the designated counties. They will assist clients with housing applications, supportive and subsided housing paperwork, and will advocate for clients with prospective landlords.  The housing navigator will also work with clients to ensure that all necessary identification and required program documentation is secured in a timely manner.  Experience working with diverse and vulnerable populations preferred.  Contracted position $15.00/hour, 15 hours per week.

Child Care Support Coordinator

Locations: TBD. Travel will include some of these counties: Antrim, Kalkaska, Grand Traverse, Wexford, Benzie and Leelanau. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or a related field is required; must also have (within 18 months of hire) a credential or certification in social work, human services, family services, counseling or a related field. NMCAA will provide training for a credential in family services if applicant does not already have a credential or certification as listed above.  Applicant must demonstrate a strength-based approach to working with children and families; a commitment to confidentiality, and the ability to relate to co-workers as a team player. This position maintains a highly collaborative role with the partners, families, and Child Care Team to promote quality programming and ensure Head Start Program compliance.  Strong computer and communication skills are essential to success in this position. $18.75 hr.

Mesick Teacher
41 weeks, 40 hours/week. Qualifications:  Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with ZA/ZS endorsement. Supervisory experience; build relationships using a strength based approach with children, families, and coworkers. $17.85/hr.

Charlevoix Assistant Teacher (42 weeks per year; 36 hours per week)

East Jordan Assistant Teacher (42 weeks per year; 32 hours per week)

Mesick Assistant Teachers (2) (both 37 weeks per year; one position 36 hours perweek, second position 40 hours per week)

Missaukee Preschool Assistant Teacher:  (41 weeks a year, 36 hours a week)

Assistant Teachers: CDA or associate degree required.  Team player, able to communicate well with children and adults. $11.19-12.00/hr.

Kalkaska Classroom Aide (38 weeks a year; 29 hours per week)

Mesick Classroom Aide (32 weeks per year; 27 hours per week)

Mill Creek GSRP Classroom Aide (33 weeks per year; 29 hours per week)

Cadillac Marty Paul Classroom Aide. (37 weeks per year, 24 hours per week) 

Classroom Aides:  Must pass clearances and medical exam. Duties include teaming with teacher to guide children; food prep; and cleaning. $9.30/hr.

Early Head Start Early Head Start Child Family Specialist

Three full time positions. Locations: Wexford, Grand Traverse and Emmet Counties. Two part time positions (20 hours/week). Locations: Grand Traverse County and either Wexford or Antrim County. Qualifications: Minimum of a home-based CDA credential or equivalent coursework as part of an associate’s or bachelor’s degree. Applicant must demonstrate a strength-based approach to working with children and families; a commitment to confidentiality, and the ability to relate to co-workers as a team player. Weatherization Crew Member

40 Hours per week year round, $14.08/hr. Must pass clearances. Some responsibilities include installing all types of insulation, replacement windows, doors, general air sealing, blower door testing, various general carpentry work. Must be able to work in attics and crawl spaces, lift 50lbs to at least waist height, work from ladders and while crawling.
