Quality Improvement Consultant for Great Start to NW Quality Resource Center,

Grand Traverse and Leelanau Counties. $19-21 per hour; 40 hours per week. Housing Resource Specialist

Provide housing based case management in the Greater Grand Traverse area. This position will work with individuals and families who are experiencing homelessness in Antrim, Benzie, Kalkaska, Grand Traverse and Leelanau counties to house them and provide supports in home. Experience in working with vulnerable populations, individuals at risk, and State and Federal homeless program experience is desired. Excellent communication and computer skills required. Housing Based Case Manager

Meals on Wheels Meal Transporter Substitute

10-15 hours per week. 52 weeks per year. $8.90 per hour.
Duties concerning deliver of meals include, but are not limited to: Pick up and deliver hot, cold, and frozen meals to home-delivered clients, ensuring special diets are delivered to appropriate clients, and bulk meals to Congregate sites, if applicable. Maintain proper temperatures of meals. Maintain accurate time, mileage, and delivery records. Visit with home – delivered clients to provide brief companionship and safety check. Be encouraging to the meal recipient, opening the meal if necessary. Report any changes in physical or mental health or possible problems to office, when necessary. Carry emergency information on all clients each day. Collect and account for all donations made by the meal recipients or project income from Congregate sites and deliver to office, as needed. Other duties which may be assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications: Positive attitude and common sense. Responsible person with valid driver’s license, car insurance, and dependable transportation. Willingness and ability to commit the time required. Good communication and interpersonal skills, and teamwork. Drivers must communicate effectively with homebound seniors. Concern for the well-being of recipients. Understand the philosophy of the Senior Nutrition program. Good representative of agency programs. Excellent personal hygiene. Required lifting up to 48 pounds on occasion.

Weatherization Crew Member

40 Hours per week year round, $14.08/hr. Must pass clearances. Some responsibilities include installing all types of insulation, replacement windows, doors, general air sealing, blower door testing, various general carpentry work. Must be able to work in attics and crawl spaces, lift 50lbs to at least waist height, work from ladders and while crawling.
