The safety of our customers, community partners and staff is of the highest priority. NMCAA is closely monitoring the guidance provided by the Centers for Disease Control along with state and local governments regarding the COVID-19 outbreak. The following changes have been made to programs and services at NMCAA in accordance with this guidance.

· In alignment with the Governor’s mandate for K-12 programming, all NMCAA preschool classrooms and home visiting programming has been suspended beginning March 16th through April 5th. NMCAA Child Care Partner Centers will make the decision to close according to their own center policies.

· Please continue to call the (844) 900-0500 number if you are experiencing homelessness or a housing crisis. No face-to face appointments currently available.

· All face-to-face Tax Preparation appointments have been suspended until further notice. Please call for virtual and online tax preparation options.

· Financial Management Workshops and face-to-face coaching sessions have been suspended until further notice. Budget Counselors will be providing virtual case management.

· Congregate meals will be suspended beginning Monday, March 16, 2020, until further notice. The Meals on Wheels program will deliver frozen meals starting on Wednesday, March 18, 2020 through April 5, 2020, at which time further operations will be evaluated. We will also be conducting friendly assurance/safety checks during the week.

· The Commodity Supplemental Food Programs and The Emergency Assistance Program will be distributing food at their regular locations. Customers will remain in their cars and staff and volunteers will load the food in vehicles.

*As of Thursday, March 19, 2020, all NMCAA offices will be closed to the public. Customers can reach us by phone or email and messages will be returned within 24 hours*

Please check our website at www.nmcaa.net for updates and reach out if we can be of assistance you or your customers during this difficult time.
