A Way Home America sponsored a Senate and House Briefing in Washington D.C. on Ending Youth Homelessness and Ashley Halladay-Schmandt, NMCAA Clinical Manager for Homeless Prevention, was asked to participate and talk about what Youth Homelessness looks like in rural America. Members of Congress and staff were asked to attend to gain a better insight on this problem that is impacting youth across the country. Great job Ashley!
Emergency Home Repair Assistance is available for Benzie County residents thanks to a Grant generously provided by the Benzie County Community Chest. Please contact Leslie Casselman in our Home Repair Program for further information or call NMCAA at (800) 632-7334 x2121.
NMCAA has been selected to be part of a pilot program through the Department of Energy that is designed to further reduce the energy burden of homes that have received weatherization in the past. To find out more, read the latest article in the Michigan Community Action Catalyst newsletter.
