Senior Luncheon

Congregate meals will be suspended beginning Monday, March 16, 2020 until further notice.

Meals on Wheels of NMCAA is taking precautions at all levels of our organization and working with our staff and volunteers to practice recommendations from the CDC from which we have developed procedures.  We have received recommendations from the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) for COVID-19, and are suspended congregate lunch sites until further notice based on these recommendations:

DINING SENIOR STYLE LUNCHEON CENTERS

NMCAA’S  Dining Senior Style Luncheon Program provides meals for 18 locations throughout Grand Traverse, Leelanau, Wexford, Missaukee and Manistee Counties. In 2011, 2,445 active seniors enjoyed fun, food and friendship “Dining Senior Style”.
MORE THAN JUST A MEAL…participants tell us how much they enjoy the friendship and activities provided at various dining sites.

Eligibility Requirements

-60 years of age or the spouse of someone sixty years of age or older
-resident of a housing unit with a senior dining facility
Volunteer Opportunities
Like the Meals on Wheels Program, Senior Luncheon Centers rely on a wonderful group of volunteers. They are responsible for a wide variety of tasks which not only keep the program running, but also make it enjoyable for our guests.
Suggested Client Donations
The suggested donation at most of our nutrition sites is $3.00 per meal for seniors over 60. Guests under 60 are welcome to attend for the guest fee of $5.00 per meal.
