NMCAA is the Housing Assessment and Resource Agency (HARA) for the 10 county region of northern Michigan (Emmet, Charlevoix, Antrim, Kalkaska, Grand Traverse, Leelanau, Benzie, Manistee, Wexford, and Missaukee). As the HARA, NMCAA provides centralized intake and housing assessment for individuals and families who are homeless or who are at risk of homelessness, thereby assuring a comprehensive community-wide service and housing delivery system. Residents of the 10 country region listed above may call Centralized Intake for housing assessment and assistance, information and/or referral.
There is a shortage of housing resources in certain areas of this region and NMCAA is not able to help all people experiencing a housing crisis with immediate housing access.
